WHY TAKE THE GDT (GENERAL DEVELOPMENT TEST)?
It can be used for admission to Vocational Education programs; however, other requirements may be needed, depending on the program.
THE GDT CONSISTS OF 5 SUBJECTS:
– Mechanical Reasoning
– Problem Solving
– Reading Comprehension
The test can be taken in English for any Vocational Training program.
The passing grade is 43/100.
Students must be 18 years of age or older to enter into a vocational education program after the GDT.
Any student who fails the GDT can retake it after 1 year.
The GDT success will appear on the 1st cycle of the MEES (Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur) acievement records.
